Meeting of the Triptolemos Foundation board of trustees: successful participation in the first edition of the meeting of the board of trustees held virtually

The meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Triptolemos Foundation was held electronically this year because of COVID-19. The Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC), which celebrates its 50 years, acted as host.

The meeting was attended by its president, José Pio Beltrán (former vice president of Organization and Institutional Relations of the CSIC), the president of the Spanish Chamber of Commerce, José Luis Bonet, and the rector of the UPC, Francesc Torres, as vice presidents of the Foundation. The meeting had more than 40 representatives of companies, universities, rectors, vice-rectors and consumer associations both national and international.

The meeting revolved around the most relevant activities carried out by the Triptolemos Foundation, highlighting the latest reports. The future was considered regarding issues such as internationalization or the great importance that the European Green Deal and the farm-to-table strategy will have. The 2021-2027 Strategic Plan of the International Campus of Excellence Network with food activity has been approved, chaired by the rector of the University of Córdoba, José Carlos Gómez Villamandos, president of CRUE. Various initiatives were proposed concerning the training of citizens in the food system.

The formal incorporation as members of the Board of trustees to the University of Malaga and the Fuertes Group was announced.

Since its creation in 2002, the Triptolemos Foundation has aimed to contribute to an adequate diet that citizens can trust for the entire population, in accordance with knowledge, science and technology. The motor of the system is responsible business activity according to proven science. Triptolemos Foundation is open to any new incorporation that shares its objectives.
