The unsustainable waste of food: what can consumers do?

About This Project

At all levels and in each of the links of the human food chain (Administration, farmers, fishermen, processors, retailers or wholesalers and especially in relation to consumers) it is necessary to make changes in our modus operandi to avoid waste. of food and allow the reuse or recycling of what is disposed of as much as possible. Indeed, we can not allow a third of all the food we produce to be lost due to improper practices, when 870 million people go hungry in the world. As far as consumers are concerned, raising awareness of the extent of the problem (and learning how to prevent it) is very important. Better communication between all participants in the food supply chain will also be decisive.
